2 years convincing expletive-complete consumer health editors to write good things about sugar hard-wired in me a belief that there's always a way and that every barrier can be overcome.

Because I will always face a fear rather than be beaten by it (jumping 12,000 feet from a plane, scuba diving in shark waters, learning to Twitter), I believe momentary awkwardness brings the greatest rewards.

Problem solving energises me: helping clients pioneer the new or hearing a creative solution played back by influencers as a 'truth', renews my passion for communication, daily.

Travelling before, and now with, a young family to 'uncomfortable places' refuels my optimism in a world gone mad and our onus for creating sustainable solutions.

My decision not to become an academic, belies a love for making sense of people and for improving what's gone before.
