Working for IKEA’s visionary leader Ingvar Kamprad taught me that brands are built from the inside out – that products and stores can be copied, that cultures are unique.
Running a retail business, selling furniture, furnishings and an aspiring vision of life in the home, taught me the importance of story-telling to seduce the customer.
Receiving the daily sales log at 11.00pm taught me that if you do tomorrow what you did yesterday, you’ll get the same result. Do it differently if you want to make it better...and small incremental changes can have a disproportionate impact.
Spending days on the shop floor in conversation with my customers taught me that the buying process can never be too easy or too simple. These are some of the lessons that I’ve learnt in my career that I’m applying to running this agency, and addressing the challenges I’m engaged on with our clients.
