Placing Doosan Babcock at the heart of the energy debate in the UK

Energy currently sits at the top of the global news agenda as international governments and decision makers  strive to achieve a balance between two conflicting forces– the need to reduce emissions, whilst  meeting increasing demand for energy.

In a crowded marketplace, H&K has devised a communications strategy to place Doosan Babcock at the heart of the energy debate in the UK.  An extensive media relations programme  is currently underway to highlight the need for decisive action by government on plans for coal-fired and nuclear plant in the UK to key business, environment and energy media with an aim to rally the industry to lobby government on policy reform.

In addition to media profiling and issues based campaigns, H&K supports Doosan Babcock’s regular direct stakeholder campaigns and advocacy initiatives.  H&K also organises industry debates and  developed a survey of UK energy experts to identify industry attitudes to clean energy, the Government’s Energy Review, Kyoto targets and the UK’s fuel mix.

The following was achieved;

  • Coverage in national, broadcast and trade media including the Financial Times, Guardian, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, The Economist, BBC, Channel 4, Reuters, Bloomberg, Dow Jones
