H+K London promotes Jessica Walsh to managing director of Healthcare practice
LONDON -- Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) London has promoted Jessica Walsh to Managing Director of the Healthcare practice, effective immediately.
Originally from H+K’s New York office and at the London office since 2008, Jessica has close to fifteen years of experience in healthcare communications, specialising in patient advocacy. At a time when biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies are increasingly embracing patient focused communications and operating strategies, Jessica’s skill set and background will help H+K’s healthcare team remain at the forefront of industry trends and to meet new client needs.
Richard Millar, H+K UK CEO and Global Chair of Creative Strategy, commented on the appointment: ‘Jessica’s seven years of service at H+K London and her unique background in patient advocacy work with large multinational pharmaceutical and healthcare companies means she is incredibly well-positioned to take on this leadership role. I have every confidence that her appointment will benefit both the agency and our clients.’
In addition, after recent client wins, there have been five new hires to the team including Ginnie Tuck who has joined from Weber Shandwick, Victoria Hayes from GlaxoSmithKline and Catherine Clifford from GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition).
Jessica said: ‘I’m excited for the opportunity to lead our growing Healthcare team; clients in the public and private sector are increasingly looking for communications expertise focused on the needs of patients and carers, and we look forward to working with them to make a meaningful impact.’
Sue Cook, H+K London’s previous Healthcare Managing Director, is returning to her native Australia.
