H+K UK appoints director of Issues + Crisis team
LONDON -- Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) London has strengthened its expanding Issues + Crisis Management team with the appointment of Simone Whitfield as a Director. Simone joins H+K from Blue Rubicon, where she was Head of Crisis Management.
Simone will be working closely with Tim Luckett, Chair of Global Crisis Communications + Risk Management, providing corporate reputation support to clients including: executive-level crisis counsel, reputation risk management, issues preparedness, brand rehabilitation, training including H+K’s proprietary crisis simulation tool, Flight School, and internal and external stakeholder communications.
Simone is an experienced corporate communications professional and specialises in reputation management and corporate positioning. She has extensive agency experience of managing sensitive, business critical issues and high profile crises including industrial accidents, data breach, product withdrawals, extortion, corporate fraud and litigation support. She has provided senior strategic counsel to clients across a range of industry sectors including energy, food and drink, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, publishing and education. She has also advised on internal restructuring, employee engagement and change communications programmes.
Simone has more than 16 years of private and public sector experience. Prior to 8 years at Blue Rubicon she was Director of Issues + Crisis Management at Burson-Marsteller. She began her career on the Crossrail project managing the public consultation and community relations programmes.
