What we've been up to THIS week
Cannes Lions Extravaganza of Female Firsts, Live Reporting as well as Rugby World Cup and Western Union pass finale
Its been amazing week as a number of us have been lucky enough to take part in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
On the Sunday and Monday we were crazy busy on the launch of the Female Firsts initiative with Dazed magazine in the Grand Auditorium. We are super proud to have been part of this.
In addition to the launch H+Kers Helen Wood and Rachel Matovu won the UK Young Lions and so competed in the global competition
And it hasn't stopped there, we have had an international team of roving reporters who have interviewed a raft of senior execs there - from Sir Martin Sorrell to Phil Thomas, Trong Tantivejakul to Darren Crawforth, Graham Fink to our PR Juror Ben Shipley. You can view the video interviews on our youtube channel or see the full live reporting here
Outside of Cannes, we also launched the H+K HER programme, an initaitve designed to champion our own female talent as they rise up the ranks
Our Sports team started the week with a New York event as Western Union celebrated the success of its PASS initiative at a Beyond Soccer event. World Cup Winner and Western Union ambassador Patrick Vieira was the guest of honour, speaking on WU’s behalf on a star-studded panel. H+K UK and NY offices worked together to organise and host a full day of briefings for Patrick which has resulted in over a hundred pieces of coverage so far and manage Western Union’s social content.
And today the England Rugby 2015 team helped reveal the design of this year’s World Cup tickets. Once again the international network proved invaluable as giant tickets were photographed in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa as part of a global launch. The team revealed the tickets in the UK at an event with World Cup winning former England captain Martin Johnson at Twickenham. The only problem was that Martin is such a giant of a man, he managed to make the giant version of the tickets look pretty small!
